Customer's Fault Description
The remote control has been dropped on the floor a few times. As a result some of the buttons do not work as well as others. From top to bottom, left to right. Button 2 works but video does not last very long. Buttons 3 & 4 do not work at all. The other buttons work.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Focalpoint remote control on Evoke electric fire arrived safely from St. Austell and on testing was found to be dead. On opening this was due to a deformed battery terminal (see image), this was repaired but then it was found that some buttons were non functioning.
There were 2 micro cracks in the print causing open circuits. The print was reworked which restored full functionality (see testing video)
