Customer's Fault Description
The wire needs replacing as you will see, and the foot rest button needs checking as can be a bit hit and miss but not sure if that's due to the wiring or the connection
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This H.S.L. Rise and recline chair remote hand control arrived safely from Scarborough and on inspection was found to have a badly damaged cable and worn button contacts.

A replacement straight cable was fitted and conductive pads glued under each of the main buttons (we cannot get the curly cables)
