Customer's Fault Description
Recently purchased soundbase, as new in box but remote is unresponsive. Have used the remote from my other soundbase to confirm the unit it ok and issue is with the remote.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Canton remote arrived safely from Cheltenham and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
This was due to a blown IR LED. This was replaced which restored full functionality.
This remote arrived back ugt and on testing was found to be dead again. This was eventually put down the solder on the IC which needed to be re-flowed, this most likely is what blew the main IR LED in the first place. The IC was re-flowed and then the remote tested over a few days with no further issue. Returned to cust 27th Mar
