Customer's Fault Description
Remote does not work at all. Have tried a remote belonging to a friend with same fire to check that it is a fault with remote, and that works.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This DRU Inset electric fire remote controller arrived safely form Worcester and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
Unfortunately this appears to be due to the main IC which when heated up started to work. This IC is encased in black resin meaning the IC cannot be replaced.
The code form the remote was copied and a clone created which looks different but will work the heater.
The original remote does seem to still work but this cannot be guaranteed and therefore a clone will be supplied at no extra cost to ensure functionality in the future if the original fails.
