Customer's Fault Description
Remote control does not appear to have any power as the standby light is not flashing and when I try to use it nothing appears on the display screen. I have tried changing the batteries.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Gas fire remote control arrived safely and on testing was found to be dead.
On opening the remote was found ot have suffered a battery leak with signs of corrosion on a few of the components.
The main issue was an oscillator which had visible rust on its case. The oscillator was replaced which restored functionality.
The customer is to test the remote fully on return.
