Customer's Fault Description
On/off button not working, fitted new battery and still no red led.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This remote was handed in locally and on testing was found to have erratic power button response.

This was found to be due to the ribbon connector for the facia having tiny pinpoint breaks.  The connector was cut back by 1mm and refitted which restored full functionality.
