Customer's Fault Description
I inherited this remote when I bought the second hand caravan and it only sometimes turns on and when it does it stays flashing. The battery compartment is of poor design with springs both ends of the terminals. Over time these springs have become distorted making it difficult to replace batteries to guarantee good connection. It would seem that someone in the past has tried to open it, presumably to make a repair.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Truma Caravan motor mover remote controller arrived safely from Bournemouth and on inspection was found to rattle when shook.
The power switch had no effect.
When opened the PCB was loose inside the controller, all 3 of the mounting pins were broken. The PCB was hot glued back into place which restored full functionality.
