Remote control dies not operate anything on the fire, Battery has been changed to no avail.

This Focalpoint Electric Fire remote controller arrived safely from Halesowen and on testing was confirmed to be dead.

This was due to a mangled battery terminal (see image), the terminal was reworked which restored full functionality.
