Customer's Fault Description
The 9v battery connector has broken, the negative wire is loose from the connector.
I am aware you have already repaired one like this, spookily also from Preston
If possible could you replace both wires so that it's as good new, thanks Brendan.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely from Ashton and on inspection was found to have a damaged battery cable, this was replaced but the remote would not power up.
The LED was foudn to also be blown and there was remnants of acid contamination over the PCB, the LED was replaced (a red one was fitted) and the PCB cleared of all contaminants.
This restored functionality, strangely the remote does take a few seconds to power up, ie. about 4 or 5 seconds after both the power buttons are pressed and released but once powered on the remote functionas as normal.
