This Motor Mover Handset arrived safely from Durham and on inspection was found to have badly corroded battery terminals from a battery leak.
Due to this the remote was obviously dead.
On opening unfortunately there was a large amount of rusted corrosion from the battery acid over the PCB and the RF module. (see image).
The terminals were replaced and the corrosion cleaned up but even though this restored partial power the remote was found to have no RF signal.
Sadly due to the amount of damage and the lack of spare RF modules a repair is not possible.
