Stewart Golf Remote Repair Details
This Golf trolley remote arrived safely and on testing was found not to power off when using the power button.
The ribbon connector for the PCB was found to be extremely tight and not fully connected to the socket pins (its was half hanging off the pins). Due to the lack of cable length this could not be rectified by simply pushing the cable on.
The mounting pins for the PCB had to be cut off and then the PCB hot glued into position (slightly lower down than normal), this allowed the cable to be connected fully which allowed the item to be powered down properly. Please note that this means that the red LED is not perfectly in position due to the board relocation.
The battery cable was also replaced as rthe plastic cap was too large for a secure fit.
The remote was then tested over a week without any power draw being found.
The customer is to test the controller fully on return.
