Customer's Fault Description
I have replaced batteries for the remote and in the fireplace at the same time and repeated.
Then the fire will switch on but when I try to switch off say in two hours time the remote seems to be dead. No red showing.
Possibly the batteries are then run low
There may be a fault with the remote that affects its communication with the fireplace
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Nuflame Mertik Maxitrol remote control arrived safely from Surrey and on testing was found to have a faulty regulator.
The regulator and battery cable was replaced which restored full functionality.
The supplied battery was found to be drained at 7volt and will need replacing soon. The faulty regulator will have drained any battery that was inserted.
