We have a Mertik Maxitrol G6R-H4T5-GA Even though we have replaced the battery it shows battery low/dead ...and doesn't connect to the fire . I see you have repaired this before .
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Gazco Gas Fire remote control arrived safely from Reigate and on testing was confirmed to have an erroneous battery indicator.

THis was due to a faulty regulator, the regulator and battery cable was replaced which restored full functionality.
