Customer's Fault Description
not turning on, when it did, would connect to unit then wouldn't move. Though worked find just before. Have tried resetting and syncing no joy.
The 9v battery connection had broken and i have tried to replace with no joy.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Caravan mover remote control arrived safely from Altrincham and on testing was confirmed not to repsond from its double power button press.
When opened the battery cable wasn't soldered into position, this was replaced but the issue remained.
This problem was caused by the ribbon connector to the button array having corrosion spots in the connection. The connector was cut back by a millimeter and then refitted which restored full functionality.
