Customers Fault Description : no red light despite new batteries

This Velux remote control arrived safely from London and on testing was found to be transmitting on each button press as per normal operation.
Its important to note that this remote emits infra red invisible light and there is no visible light present.
As this item is transmitting the issue may be with the receiver itself or it could be that the remote needs pairing with the receiver.
This item has been classed as no fault found.
