Customer's Fault Description
Non of the buttons are working. Only the light keep blinking. I replaced batteries but still not working.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This BMW in car DVD remote controller arrived safely form the United States and on inspection the battery cover was missing, this cannot be replaced as spares are not available.
When batteries were inserted the remote signal icon was confirmed to be flashing all the time without a button being pressed.
On opening this was found ot be due to a battery leak which had contaminated parts of the PCB (see image).
The PCB was cleared of all contaminants which when retested restored full functionality.
