Remote control not working

This Golf trolley remote controller arrived safely from Corbridge and on testing was found ot be dead. The supplied battery was totally drained.
Testing with e replacement battery still gave a dead remote.
This was due to a short in the button facia, this was shorting the contacts on 2 of the buttons which is the reason the battery was drained.
The facia was split apart and reworked which restored full functionality.
The battery cable was also replaced as it did have signs of a battery leak / corrosion.
