This Motor mover remote controller arrived safely from Taunton and on testing was confirmed not to respond to its double power button press.

The battery cable had signs of damage but the issue was found to be due to corrosion spots in the ribbon connector.  The connector was cut back by 1mm to bypass the dead spots and then the battery cable replaced.

Full functionality was restored.
