had a look inside and made a mess (sorry) now the lights come on all the time but no action to the chair movement, tried to shorten the cable and rejoin !
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This remote for an electric arm chair arrived safely and on inspection the cable was damaged at the plug end.

The cable was soldered directly onto the socket pins firmly.
