Customer's Fault Description
When I press on, it shows as if it is turning the fireplace on but gets stuck in this mode - and the fireplace does not receive a signal to turn on. So I cannot turn on the fireplace and the remote becomes unresponsive.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This gas fire remote arrived safely from Northwood and on testing was foudn to "freeze" when trying to power the remote up.
On opening a component test was carried out with no issues bein found, it was decided to re-flow the solder on the main IC which when retested seems to have restored normal functionality to the handset.
