Power Touch Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : Power Touch
Customers Fault Description : The handset no longer turns off automatically, This causes the battery to run down between uses.It stays powered on at all times until the battery is removed. All other functions seem to be OK.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
THs item arrived safely and on testinf was found to power donw after about 20 - 30 seconds of no activity as per normal operation.
The facia was peeled back to check for any contamination / shorts in the traces but its appeared to be clear and complete.
The control was tested over a 2 day period randomly and the item did respond and power down as per normal. This item has been classed as no fault found and it is thought that maybe there was moisture contamination which has subsequently dried out clearing its own issue.
