Customer's Fault Description
Initially the remote control would not work and I found a wire had broken on the battery lead. I replaced the battery lead completely. Remote worked but the flame adjustment would not work.
Later the fire would not turn on or off if the display screen on the remote was showing higher than 19°.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Remote control for Flavel Jazz He gas fire arrived safely from Worksop and on testing was found to have erratic functionality and also a erroneous battery indicator.
When opened the battery cable was found to have been replaced which had burnt the PCB. A replacement cable was fitted properly and then the regulator was replaced which then restored full functionality.
