Customer's Fault Description
Transponding signal became increasingly intermittent then stopped all together despite new batteries being inserted .
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Garage remote control arrived safely from Chester and on inspection was found to be missing its battery cover (this cannot be replaced) on testing was found to be totally dead.
On opening there was a mass of contamination over a lot of the PCB (see image) and the buttons were found to be open circuit. Both buttons were replaced and the PCB cleared of all contaminants which then restored full functionality.
The battery cable was also replaced as it had signs of damage.
