Customer's Fault Description
After replacing dead batteries found the remote to be completely unresponsive to any buttons; also red LED light doesn't flash when buttons pressed
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Air Conditioning remote control arrived safely from St Austell and on testing was found to have intermittent power.
On opening the bottom pair of battery terminals were found to be slightly rusted possibly form a battery leak.
The terminal was replaced as well as the oscillator and then the solder reflowed on the main IC. When re-tested the remote was consistent in its functionality.
