Customer's Fault Description
Device not working - LED not illuminating when buttons are pressed.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This garage door remote arrived safely from Falkirk and on testing was found to be dead.
The battery housing was check and there was a "sick strip" contaminatinng the the PCB terminal point. This is a clear material which is found on some makes of battery (suck as Duracell) that is used to make children sick in the case of them digesting the battey, this was causing a resistance to the power source.
The terminals were cleared of all contaminants which then restored full functionality.
A set of CR2016 Energizer batteries will be supplied fitted on return.
