Customer's Fault Description
Remote will not switch on the mover control unit. The control unit goes through all the pre-checks ok, main 12v supply battery ok, no volt drop. Other diagnostic checks indicate 'out of range' even though tested close to main controller. Remote has been opened by myself previously to locate any possible obvious fault so case snap clips are broken but this should not affect operation.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Caravan motor mover remote control arrived safely from Matlock Bath and on testing was found to be dead, the remote was also found to rattle.
On opening the RF module PCB was found ot have broken away form the main PCB. This was soldered back into position.
A couple of the terminal pairs were also replaced as they were badly disfigured.
When re-tested the remote was then found to power up on its normal double power button press and a strong RF signal was present on each button press.
