Klarstein Remote Repair Details
This Remote control for a cooker hood arrived safely and on testing was found to be dead.
On closer inspection one part of the battery terminal was found to strangely be bent within the remote control (see image). Also the power button and light button appeared to be upside down, this was a sign that someone else had opened the remote before arriving with us.
The terminal was bent back into position and the buttons aligned correctly. This then restored full functionality to all buttons, the signal does appear to be slightly low strength.
A Duracell battery will be supplied fitted on return.
It is not known if the bent terminal was the cause of the original problem or if this was the result of someone bending it out of position when opening the remote. If it was the case that the terminal was bent out of position when someone was trying to find out why the remote wasn't working then it is possible that the "original" fault was not the remote terminal. The customer is to test the remote fully on return.
