Customer's Fault Description
Not longer works at all. Not IR visible using camera on phone camera. Only function we really need is volume control.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Arcam Solo, one box hifi remote control arrived safely from Lancaster and on inspection the IR cover at the end of the remote was found to be missing, this cannot be replaced as spares are not available and this does not effect functionality.
On testing the majority of the buttons were found to be functioning as per normal but the buttons towards the top of the remote were found to be either non responsive or very sluggish.
When opened this was found not be due to contamination over the PCB, this most likely had entered the remote easily due to the missing IR cover.
Once the PCB was cleared of all contaminants full functionality to all buttons was restored (see testing video)
