Customer's Fault Description
Seems dead. New battery inserted x2. No problem with contacts etc. Polarity of battery correct. Flashing light at front also not operating. Have tried switching off unit and re-pairing. No change.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Canton remote control arrived safely from Bristol and on testing was found to have erratic button response.
On opening 3 of the buttons were found to have started to decompose underneath (see image).
The PCB was cleared of contaminants and then replacement conductive pads glued under all buttons. Full functionality was restored.
Please not that the bulb on the remote does not flash as its infra red and cannot be seen with the naked eye
