Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Flamerite remote control arrived safely from Coventry and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
On opening the main IC looked to be coated in residualt flux (see image), this was all cleaned and then the terminals reworked. The supplied battery was totally drained which is most likely from the Flux contamination which can cause resistance over components.
The PCB was cleared of all contaminants and then when a replacement battery was fitted full functionality was restored and there was no signs of any excess drain. (see testing video)
A Duracell CR2032 battery will be supplied fitted on return.
