Customer's Fault Description
After use the remote would not turn off. The battery was removed to force shut down. A new battery was fitted and the unit turned on but wouldn’t function. The remote was able to be switched off again. From then when switching on again, it would shut down after 10 seconds. Finally the remote would not switch on.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Caravan Motor Mover remote control arrived safely from Cornwall and on testing was found to not respond to its twin power button press.
When opened this was found to be due to corrosion spots in the button array (see image). This was cleaned up and then replacement conductive pads glued into place. Full functionality was restored and the remote powers up and shuts down as normal.
