Cable untidy. Remote works wouldn’t pass pat test
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Vibradorm Riser recliner massage chair remote control arrived safely from Harrogate and on inspection was found to have a badly damaged cable.

A replacement straight cable was fitted (we cannot get the curtly kind).  One of the back screws had to be sacrificed to make room internally for the new cable, this does not effect structural integrity nor its looks.
