Customer's Fault Description
The gas fire receiver unit is not registering the 'up' command from the remote and is not actuating the gas valve as needed.

both buttons appear in operation on the remote control, the receiver illuminates with the 'down' command but not with the 'up' command.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This gas fire controller and receiver arrived safely from Enniskillen and on testing the remote was found to be functioning as normal with our test receiver.
The customers receiver unfortunately had signs of a battery leak (a couple of terminals were contaminated / rusted. Due to this a repair to the receiver cannot be carried out as the possibility of it turning the heater on without intervention is present.
