Customer's Fault Description
Remote not working and not switching on electric fire.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Valor remote control arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
On openign there were signs of a battery leak / corrosion, this had started to eat away at the print / button ocntacts (see image). The print was reworked but the remote remained dead. It was concluded that the issue was with the main IC which is sadly encased under a black blob of resin making a repair not possible.
