Customer's Fault Description
When you connect a battery it drives the gas valve open without the buttons being pressed. The output LED glows faintly all the time but fully illuminates when the two 'valve open' buttons or the valve close buttons are pressed.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Gas fire remote control arrived safely from Woodstock and on testing was fond to be transmitting without a button being pressed.
This was found to be due to a resistance across one of the buttons. All buttons were replaced which restored full functionality.
It is important to note that any battery that was previously in this remote will be drained and therefore a new battery must be fitted on return.
