Customer's Fault Description
Hi, I am sending you a remote control that was working last year but having put new Duracel batteries in, no light comes on remote when I double click it. It might be related to the battery connectors in remote.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Remote Control for a Reich Caravan motor mover arrived safely from London and on testing was foudn not to respond to its double power button press.
When opened this was foudn ot be due to the button contacts for the power button decomposing and ocntaminating the contacts (see image)
The PCB was cleared of all contaminants and then a replacement conductive pad glued into place.
Full functionality was restored.
