Buttons occasionally do not respond. Outer cable split just below handset.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Reclining chair handset arrived safely form Aberdeen City and on inspection the cable was found to be damaged at the remote entry point.
On opening there was liquid inside the remote (see image), this was shorting many of the button array contacts. The PCB and button contacts were cleared of all contaminants and then the cable cut back and refitted to bypass the break.
