Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Golf Trolley remote control arrived safely and on testing when a battery was fitted the remote would transmit without any button being pressed.
The facia was split apart and the effected button was found to be the button labeled "1". The issue was eventually found to be the ribbon cable itself becoming shorted across the 2 points for the 1 button.
As the facia and subsequent ribbon cable cannot be replaced it was concluded after talking to the customer to disable the 1 button by removing one of the connector pins of the plug. This was done which restored functionality to all other buttons but the 1 button will be none functional.
