Batteries fallout, very loose.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Boiler remote control arrived safely from Southport and on testing was confirmed to have very loose battery fittings making the power intermittent.

This was due to the inner terminals being "impacted" and also the plastic holding the terminals was broken.  The terminals were bent back into position and soldered to reinforce them.  Then the back plastic holder was hot glued to strengthen the fittings.

This restored full functionality.  Please note that the batteries are now a very tight fit, this is normal for this model of remote.
