Customer's Fault Description
Remote fails to activate any of the functions i.e. cd, tuner, pre-amp, power amp etc. Have tried two changes of batteries with no effect.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Quad 99 Series remote control arrived safely from Chepstow and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
After an extensive component test it was found that a capacitor had become internally faulty creating and intermittent power issue.
Once replace full functionality was restored.
