Customer's Fault Description
Remote wont turn on unless plugged in via USB
AAA batteries have been changed but isnt responding.
Did look like the battery terminals had signs of battery corrosion.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Velux remote control arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead and the terminals showing signs of corrosion.
The terminals were etched clean and then replated using SCP. On of the patch wires was also replaced as it was corrosion damaged.
Full functionality was restored.
