Customer's Fault Description
This is my dads remote and it hasn’t worked for a couple of years! All he can tell me is that even after changing the batteries, it won’t work the air con unit. Sorry, I can’t tell you any more!
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Air con remote control arrived safely from Sheffield and on inspecito nthe IR cover was missing from the top of the remote, this cannot be replaced as spare are not available but it doesnt effect funcitonality.
On testing the remote would not respond to the power button press.
This was due to contamination over the PCB causing a resistance to the button contacts. The PCB and button array was cleared of all contaminants which restored full functionality.
The terminals were also rusty, these were replaced to prevent future issues.
