Customer's Fault Description
A battery has leaked and damaged a terminal so cannot be powered by batteries. It should be possible to power via USB connection but that only works intermittently and become less frequent
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Velux Control pad for a skylight arrived safely from Hilperton and on testing was confirmed to be dead and there was corrosion on the battery terminals.
The terminals were etched clean and then re-plated using SCP which restored full functionality.
