Customer's Fault Description
With fresh Duracells it will light up and operate for a few functions then lights go out and won’t operate. Taking the batteries out and putting them back in will occasionally work for a few more minutes or not at all. Very intermittent.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This AV Receiver Remote Control arrived safely from Glasgow and on testing was confirmed to be very intermittent.

This was foudn ot be due to one of the terminals being corroded.  A tiny amount of surface rust was causing an intermittent connection.

The terminal was ground clean then replated using SCP, this restored full consistent functionality.
