LED not lit - non functional
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Caravan mover remote control arrived safely from Newcastle under Lyme and on inspection was be missing its battery cover (unfortunately after going through our scrap bin we didn't find a replacement cover)

On testing the remote was found to be functioning and initially it was thought that maybe it was user error but after talking to the customer this was not the case.

The remote was opened to check for defects and then it was found that there was contamination around the LED (see image)

There were also 2 bad joints on the RF module (this can also be seen in the image shown), these were resoldered. The ground pin looked to have never been soldered

The PCB was cleared of contaminants, then the LED and battery cable was replaced. All directional buttons were then tested as ok.
