Cooker good remote - does not switch the extractor fan on or off - oddly it switches the light on!

Remote Fixer Repair Response

Tis cooker hood remote control arrived safely and on inspection the battery cover had cracks in it and the facia had a crack across the lower button. On testing was found to not respond on 2 buttons.

The facia was peeled back and it was found that 2 of the buttons were open circuit. This was most likely caused due to contamination getting inside the button array due to the crack in the facia on one of the buttons. This was masked off inside to try to prevent future contamination. (The vinyl facias are not available as a spare meaning the original had to be worked with, there are markings in the vinyl due to wear and also from the peeling of the remote, this is unavoidable and doesn't effect functionality)

Both were replaced which restored full functionality.
