Customer's Fault Description
Parked up van/no problem. Working Fine.
Dropped the remote. The two battery to remote leads had broken.
Have resoldered these but have got no green/on light and control wont work.
Also tried another battery to no avail.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Caravan Remote Control for a Motor Mover arrived safely from Hampshire and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
On opening the battery cable was soldered in reversed polarity. A replacement battery cable was fitted correctly which restored full functionality.
The supplied battery was reading just 7Volts probably due to the reverse polarity draining it, this will be disposed of and the customer will be required to obtain a replacement battery. Any battery that was inserted into this remote after the terminals were replaced may be dead so its important to get a brand new battery for fitting.
