Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Dimplex remote control arrived safely from Lytham Saint Annes and on testing was found to be dead.
On opening the button contacts were found to have decomposed and were shorting the button contacts of the PCB (see image).
The PCB was cleared of all contaminants and then replacement conductive pads glued under both buttons.
Full functionality was restored. Please note that any battery that was inserted in this remote when faulty may be drained due to the nature of the fault, therefore please ensure to install brand new batteries on return.
