Outer cable disintegrating, also suspect one control faulty

These two recliner remotes arrived safely and on inspection were both confirmed to have badly damaged cables.

Replacement straight cables were fitted (we cannot get the curly kind) and then the buttons on one of the remotes were replaced as they were liquid damaged.
