Customer's Fault Description
The power switch is at best intermittent and can take a while and a lot of 'jiggling' to achieve power up
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Caravan mover remote control unit arrived safely from Lincoln and on testing initially was found to power up from its double power button press as normal.
The customer was contacted and asked if they were aware of the double power button press power on function. When talking to the customer and still testing the remote it was found to "rattle" when shook and then the power would be intermittent.
When opened this was found to be due t o one of the battery terminals breaking away form the PCB, it apparently was held in place by the inserted batteries.
The terminal was replaced and the other misshapen one reformed. This restored normal functionality.
